Emotions
Emotions aren't a system error. They're the language your body speaks to you with. Get to know them to understand yourself better.
An honest note: what you'll see here ("primary" emotions, brain regions, metaphors) are useful models to understand yourself, not absolute truths. Science is still debating (e.g. Lisa Feldman Barrett argues that emotions are constructed). Keep whatever helps you.
Where do emotions come from?
Emotions are generated in different areas of the brain. Hover or tap each point to see which area it is and what it does.

These areas don't act alone: they form neural networks that let us feel, understand and manage what we live through every day.
Explore how they connect
Inspired by Plutchik's wheel. Each emotion has three intensities, from the softest to the strongest. Tap any to discover it.

The 6 primaries are in the center (with their 3 intensities). The secondary ones orbit outside, linked to the primaries they're born from.
